MET GALA 2018
Its that time again!, one of fashions biggest nights are around the corner and I'm stoked.
The MET GALA 2018 will be one for the books, as this year's theme is 'Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic imagination'. The Metropolitan Art Museum will launch its biggest costume collection yet!!.
Designers like Versace will be featured alongside loaned pieces from the Vatican.
Versace already has a full collection already on standby for the big day.

With Anna Wintour as Chair and Rihanna, and Donatella Versace as co-chairs the guest list should be one to remember, with the tickets for outsiders starting from a whopping 30K.
The exhibition will have approximately 180 pieces on display and will focus on the “dialogue between fashion and the masterworks of religious art”. Numerous designers including Dolce & Gabbana, Christopher Kane, Jeremy Scott and Jean Paul Gaultier have referenced religion in their work, which could make for a very interesting exhibition. Other names confirmed to be featuring are Chanel, Versace and Valentino.
´Gianni Versace first brought this magnificent idea into play in 1997 when this atelier Versace walked down the catwalk. Hopefully this too shall be on display on the exhibit.

The Vatican will also be loaning 40 rare items of religious significance from its archive, including a papal tiara featuring 18,000 diamonds and pieces worn by Pope Benedict 14th in the 1600s, which will also go on display.
