THE RISE OF FASHION AVATARS

They are known as fashion avatars or fashion influencers on Instagram and they are taking the internet and the fashion industry by storm.

They are CGI personas created by tech savy engineering firms and are used by brands to engage with consumers.

These digital avatars have been around since 2013 before the rise of social media and the new internet, generally created for fun but mostly video games until designers got wind and discovered these avatars and many brands like Louis Vuitton started using these avatars in their campaigns.

Since 2013 fashion brands have used these digital characters as marketing tools to promote and sell their products.  In 2016 Louis Vuitton used avatar Lightning a video game character from the popular Final Fantasy game and used the character in their Spring\Summer collection campaign.

Fashion designers and luxury brands are now using more virtual characters or influencers to promote their businesses and products as these characters are more relatable and attract a wider audience as most of the characters have amassed a large social media following.

Fashion buyers are seamlessly engaging with avatars and adopt them as their non biased fashion influencers. Avatar influencers are taking over and becoming our new reality. Fashion brands are now more open to the idea of using avatars as fashion influencers and design of virtual garments.

The merger of physical and digital is a way forward in fashion and is the only way to ensure brands awareness.

Meet Noonoouri.

Created by Joerg Zuber, 43 year old graphic designer from Munich. She was initially created to be a role model and a overall fantasy at the same time.

She is known as the Hello Kitty of fashion.  At 19 and 200 instagram followers she is taking over the world, she is a virtual influencer who has worked with the biggest brands in fashion.  She has done campaigns and promoted designers like Chanel, Dior, Gucci and Louis Vuitton to name a few.  She has also done makeup tutorials with Kim Kardashian Beauty (KKW Beauty).


She has done paid partnerships with stuartweitzman


She has done alot of paid partnerships with alot of brands like Dior on social media.


Noonoouri lives in Paris and lives her life to the fullest, she loves travelling and fashion, follows a vegan diet and hates wearing fursand is highly against it. She is very A-list with friends like Kim Kardashian and Naomi Campbell.


These influencers are taking over our reality one Instagram post at a time, and is becoming fashion future.
